Well, this post might be all over the place and may need a second post later if i find more pics. Dave graduated and both parental sets came out to help and celebrate! How awesome is that. We did some fun things and then, a lot lot of hard work things. Lots of packing, LOTS of moving, lots of babysitting Alta. Oh and it was like 90 and humid and we had no A/C in our apt. Their help was beyond appreciated.
We took everybody to see the lovely Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and to lunch at Chavellas. Cutest place, bestest food.
oh this is Jacob’s Pickle. (same description as Chavella’s but more expensive)
Our empty apt. I thought it would look big when it was empty but it didn’t.
Well, I guess these are out of order. Here’s Nashville, which was so great. I want to go there again
And the grass at Chick Fil-A before we had a delicious dinner at something. One of those chains (not Chick-Fil-A because they are closed on sundays. which was sad because we wanted the play place)
Lunch in Little Rock
Stopping for gas and mexican food in Carrie Underwood’s home town
Wished we could have hit all the Route 66 sites. A sleeping baby in the car means you just have to keep going a lot of times.
Lunch in Amarillo
Santa Fe – another favorite favorite place – i had breakfast tacos, dave had a breakfast burrito, alta was feeling tired and sick of the road trip life
grand canyon (where i was ready to quit)
but this panda express made me happy
before we left and said goodbye to our giant airplane print
eating dirt at chick fil-a
Cadillac Ranch. So incredibly hot – I think this is where Alta’s heat stroke was happening
Here’s another at the grand canyon
Everybody surrounding the Alta
Oh another pic of Jacob’s Pickles. Go there!!
Lincoln Center pre-graduation crawl
Sleeping, the night before our move.
last meal on the steps
malls have really great indoor crawl zones. thank goodness
outside a hotel somewhere
that same place in Amarillo
Yeah, that’s hail, outside of Santa Fe. I’ve never ever seen anything like this
Verdict: Super fun road trip, really exhausting with a one-year old who can’t stand and wants to crawl everywhere, glad we did it, not sure if we could do it again. see you again next June, UHaul.
